Browser Not Supported
This tool works only on supported devices.
It is not available on macOS, Windows, or any other desktop browser.
How It Works
This tool uses the browser’s built-in Contact Picker API to open your phone’s native contact selector.
You choose which contacts to share, and the tool converts them into your chosen file format — all locally in your browser. No data is uploaded or stored anywhere.
Browser Support
The Contact Picker API is currently supported only on Android Chrome 80 and later.
It is not available on iOS Safari, desktop Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or any other browser. If you see the “Browser Not Supported” message, you need to open this page on an Android device using Chrome.
Supported Export Formats
- vCard (.vcf) — The universal contact format. Import directly into Google Contacts, Apple Contacts, Outlook, and most phone contact apps. Supports name, phone, email, address, and contact photo.
- CSV (.csv) — A spreadsheet-friendly format. Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any CSV editor. One row per contact with columns for name, phone numbers, emails, and address.
- JSON (.json) — A developer-friendly structured format. Useful for importing contacts into custom applications or databases.
Privacy Note
Your contacts never leave your device.
The Contact Picker API is designed by browser vendors with privacy as the top priority — it requires an explicit user gesture for every access, shows you exactly which contacts you are sharing, and grants no persistent permission to the website.
This tool processes all data locally and downloads the file directly to your device.
FAQs
Does this upload my contacts to a server?
No. All processing happens in your browser. The Contact Picker API does not send contact data to any server, and this tool makes no network requests with your data.
Why doesn’t this work on my iPhone?
Apple has not implemented the Contact Picker API in Safari or iOS WebKit. This is a browser limitation, not something this tool can work around.
Can I export all my contacts at once?
You can select multiple contacts in the picker, but you must select them manually — the API does not provide a “select all” option by design, to protect user privacy.
Which format should I use?
Use vCard if you want to import contacts into another phone or contact app. Use CSV for spreadsheet analysis or mail merges. Use JSON if you are a developer working with the data programmatically.
